Peter J. Dahl
- Chairman & Director
Mr. Dahl is the original visionary for the formation of
SAMEX
, a company focused on discovering "precious
gold and silver" within the Cordillera of South America.
In 1993 a team of quality people came together around this vision
to form a private company, South
American Mining & EXploration
Corp. which became
SAMEX
through its transition to becoming a public company in
November of 1995.
Entrepreneurial by nature, Peter, as President of Dahlsway
Enterprises Inc., and his five sons developed commercial agriculture
interests in the Lower Fraser Valley of BC including three thriving
poultry and fresh produce farms.
Mr. Dahl has been a practicing Family Therapist for over 25
years. From May 1986 to
February 1997, Peter was Executive Director, and later Director of
Development for Burden Bearers of Canada. Peter also served on the British
Columbia Council For the Family.
Peter received a graduate degree in Theology with Bethany Bible
College of Dothan Alabama, graduating magna cum laude in 1992.
Mr. Dahl is also a conference speaker, traveling around the world teaching and coaching on various personal success topics.
Peter provides general oversight and encouragement to the
SAMEX
team.

Jeffrey Dahl
- President & Director
Mr. Dahl completed the Canadian Securities Course,
with honors in 1984 and began a career as an Investment Advisor with
Canarim Investments Ltd. (now Canaccord Capital).
Over a ten year period Jeffrey built a successful clientele while
focusing on natural resource investments.
Mr. Dahl participated or lead in numerous venture, private
placement, IPO and public company financings, including Miramar Mining
Corp. and Northern Orion Explorations Ltd..
With an entrepreneurial drive, Mr. Dahl assisted in the formation and
eventual listing/IPO financing of Circumpacific Energy Corp., serving as
CEO & Director for a period. Beginning
in 1993 Jeffrey lead the effort to create
SAMEX
(South American Mining & Exploration Corp.) with the
help of family and business contacts.
Mr. Dahl left Canaccord Capital in June 1995, joining
SAMEX
full time to help facilitate the Company's growth.
Over the past eleven years at
SAMEX
, Mr. Dahl has applied his professional and personal
skills in assisting the Company with its funding requirements while
leading the management team in their efforts to attain the Company's
corporate objectives.
Mr. Dahl also contributes to management through his extensive research and
experience in financial markets and their related cycles, particularly
relating to gold and silver as monetary investments.

Robert E. Kell
- VP Exploration & Director
Mr. Kell joined
SAMEX
in 1994 and became a
Director in June of 1996. Rob
emphasizes a very hands-on approach to
SAMEX's
exploration efforts, spending much of his time in the field personally
directing the Company's programs.
Mr. Kell received his B.S. Degree in Geology from Virginia Polytechnic
Institute and
State
University
,
Blacksburg
Virginia
in 1974.
He has gone on to complete all graduate courses and comprehensive
examinations for a Doctorate Degree in Geology from the University of
Montana, and plans to complete the final details as personal and work
schedule's permit. Rob has
received several academic awards and has been published on numerous
occasions in topics relating to his profession.
Over the past thirty years Mr. Kell has held senior level
exploration and contract geologist positions with several of the world's
leading mining companies including;
-Anaconda Minerals Company. Over a ten year period Mr. Kell rose to senior
exploration positions and participated in the original platinum/palladium
discoveries at
Stillwater
,
Montana
and the Dall cu/zn/ag
massive sulphide discovery in
Alaska
.
-BHP-
Utah
International. Mr. Kell
oversaw various exploration projects from
California
through to
Alaska
including a gold
discovery, Bluff, in the
Seward Peninsula
,
Alaska
.
-Newmont Overseas Exploration. Rob conducted reconnaissance geologic work
directed at establishing the nature of metallogenic belts and the gold
potential of the Cordilleran Oriental, Cordilleran Occidental and
Altiplano in
South America
.

Larry McLean
- VP Operations & Director
Mr. McLean has been involved in operations management for mineral
exploration companies for more than 15 years.
Since 1995, Mr. McLean has been Vice President, Operations for
SAMEX
and responsible for management and coordination of administrative,
financial, legal and regulatory compliance in the company's Canadian
corporate headquarters and liaison with the Company's exploration office
in
South
America
.
Prior to
SAMEX
,
from 1989 to 1995 Larry was Operations Manager for Arbor Resources, Faith
Mines, Klondike Reef Mines, Rise Resources and Wealth Resources, a group
of public companies conducting mineral exploration programs and placer
gold mining operations in
North America
.
Mr. McLean has been keenly interested in geology, minerals,
fossils and archaeology since his childhood.
From 1981 to 1988 he conducted seminars, field trips, research,
writing, lecturing, and producing videos and multimedia programs on
Bible/Science related topics. He
is co-writer/producer of the video series, "THE BIBLE - KEY TO
UNDERSTANDING SCIENCE, HISTORY AND THE FUTURE"; co-author of the
book, "THE EARLY EARTH" ("EVIDENCE FOR CREATION") and
co-producer/director of the documentary film, "THE EVOLUTION
CONSPIRACY".
From 1969 to 1980 Mr. McLean was a police officer with the Calgary Police
Service including duties in the Patrol, Identification, Support, K-9, and
Communications divisions.

Patricio Kyllmann
- Director
Mr. Kyllmann has been a Director of
SAMEX
from November 1995 to present.
Patricio also served as President of the Company and manager of the
South American Office from 1995 until August 2001.
Mr. Kyllmann currently manages the Company's mineral interests in
Bolivia
.
From 1971 to 1974 Mr. Kyllmann attended
Babson
College
,
Wellesley
,
Mass.
where he earned a
Bachelor and MBA (Masters) degree in Business.
He has extensive experience with mining and commercial ventures in
Bolivia
.
From 1974 to 1992 Mr. Kyllmann was Manager for a group of Bolivian
mining companies, Estalsa Boliviana S.A., International Mining Co. (IMCO),
and Avicaya Limitada. Together,
these mining companies were the largest private tin and tungsten producers
in
Bolivia
, operating six mines
with 2,500 employees, along with 500 contractors.
Mr. Kyllmann was further involved with mining/exploration in
Bolivia
as President of Multimin
S.A. from 1992 to 1999.
Mr. Kyllmann is currently President of El Roble S.A, a private company
with Bolivian mineral interests. He
is also a Director of Hansa Ltda., a large commercial, industrial firm
operating in
Bolivia
.
